Skoda carmaker is introducing the new Limited Edition Octavia vRS. Only 500 units will be built. The performance model features a number of sporty additions with increased specification and upgrades for 2009. The vRS comes with dual zone climate control as standard. Its price starts at EUR16.249 and it is available with a choice of two engines: a 2.0-liter FSI capable of developing 200 BHP or a 2.0-liter TDI CR 170 BHP with DPF in hatch or estate.

Skoda revealed the new faces of the Octavia vRS and Octavia Scout. The new vRS has a redesigned front grille featuring the vRS logo and bold headlamps, which for the first time can be fitted with xenon headlights combined with the adaptive front lighting system. The model is available with a choice of two engines, a 2.0-liter FSI capable of developing 200 BHP and a 2.0-liter TDI capable of producing 170 BHP. The Skoda Octavia RS had its premiere at the Frankfurt Auto Show last year and now the range includes a 2.0-liter TDI PD engine as well. To be more precise, the new product features a 2.0-liter Turbo Direct Injection PD engine that is capable of developing 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque. Skoda Octavia RS received a tuning package from ABT Sportsline and now the 2.0-liter engine is able to deliver 240 horsepower. After fitting an exhaust turbo charger with inter-cooling, the Skoda Octavia RS TFSI can produce 270 horsepower at 5.700 rpm and 350 Nm at 2.900 rpm. It can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and can reach a top speed of 251 km/h. The model using the iS technology gains higher speeds at lower engine speed and a reduction in fuel consumption by up to four liters per 100 km, but in the same time, a lot of driving pleasure.
